Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Cluj, Romania. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The role involves preparing financial statements and reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local financial and tax regulations. The Accountant will monitor cash flow, support internal and external audits, and maintain accurate financial records for school operations and projects. Collaboration with school leadership and administrative staff to provide financial analysis, guidance, and timely reporting is a key part of this role.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP or school management systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications are an asset.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a school environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Romanian language skills are beneficial.
- Integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and a collaborative approach to working with diverse staff and stakeholders.
