Our client is a privately-owned international energy company with 40,000 employees across 13 countries, offering a unique chance to merge your passion for technology with impactful work on socially relevant topics.
This role is available only in Romania, involves an employment contract (CIM), and is remote.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Short Term Trading teams across at least two countries to define, align, and prioritize the flexibility trading roadmap, covering batteries, wind/PV, and CHP assets.
Work closely with traders and developers to translate business needs into clear implementation concepts and user stories, balancing business value with technical feasibility.
Monitor and guide implementation progress together with the development team, proactively removing obstacles and ensuring timely delivery of features.
Perform end-to-end validation of delivered features before releasing them to traders, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with trading workflows.
Develop and maintain operational handbooks, runbooks, and training materials so that traders and operations teams can independently adopt and use new features.
Act as the main point of contact between trading desks, development teams, and other stakeholders, facilitating alignment across countries and functions.
Continuously gather feedback after launch, identify gaps, and feed insights back into the roadmap to drive ongoing improvement of the platform.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of short-term and intraday energy trading, TSO markets, and flexibility products, ideally within a European context. Able to distinguish between power and energy and understand how batteries, wind, solar, and CHP assets behave in trading scenarios.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex trading processes into structured requirements and clear acceptance criteria.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage in both technical discussions with developers and business-focused conversations with traders and management, as well as present to diverse, international stakeholders.
Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage for effective collaboration with German-speaking partners.
Self-driven and capable of working autonomously, while also being a collaborative team player who builds trust and fosters strong cross-team cooperation.
Quick to learn and adapt, with the ability to rapidly understand new markets, asset types, and technical concepts, supported by curiosity and a proactive mindset.
Strong technical affinity; programming experience or a solid technical background is a plus, including the ability to read code, understand APIs, and communicate effectively with developers.
Proven experience in agile environments, including backlog management, sprint planning, and balancing stakeholder priorities and trade-offs.
